Press & Media

Stonebridge Wire welcomes contact from PR agencies, communications teams, public bodies, businesses, charities, campaign organisations, researchers and other organisations.

We are happy to be added to relevant press and media distribution lists.

Our editorial interests include UK and world news, politics and public affairs, business and finance, the economy, consumer affairs, technology and artificial intelligence, science, health, environment, crime and justice, property, travel, transport, charities and social affairs, lifestyle and entertainment.

We do not currently cover sport, so there is no need to add Stonebridge Wire to sports-specific distributions.

Please send press material to:

newsdesk@stonebridgewire.co.uk

What you can send us

Our newsdesk welcomes press releases and breaking-news announcements, official statements and responses, research and reports, statistics and datasets, interview opportunities, expert commentary and spokesperson availability, media alerts, diary notices, embargoed announcements, invitations to press conferences and briefings, photography, video and other editorial assets.

We also welcome relevant invitations to launches, previews, media events and other opportunities that may support our editorial coverage.

Sending material does not guarantee publication. Stonebridge Wire retains complete editorial control over whether and how material is covered.

Embargoed material

We are happy to receive appropriately embargoed material.

Please make the embargo date and time clearly visible at the beginning of your email or press release, including the relevant time zone where necessary.

We will endeavour to respect clearly communicated and reasonable embargoes accepted by our newsdesk.

For particularly sensitive material, you are welcome to contact us before sending it.

Interviews and spokesperson opportunities

We’re interested in speaking directly to the people behind the stories we cover.

This may include government and public-sector representatives, business leaders and entrepreneurs, academics and researchers, industry specialists, charities and campaigners, authors and creators, people with relevant lived experience and other appropriate experts.

Please provide information about the proposed spokesperson, their area of expertise, the subject they can discuss and any relevant availability.

Research, reports and data

We are particularly interested in original research, reports, surveys, public data and new statistics that could form the basis of news coverage.

Where possible, please provide the full report or underlying methodology, rather than only a press release summarising the findings.

For surveys and polling, please include relevant information about sample size, methodology, fieldwork dates and who commissioned the research.

Images and editorial assets

Where photographs, video or other media assets are supplied for editorial use, please make the applicable usage terms clear.

Where appropriate, please provide photographer or agency credits and confirm that the supplied material is available for publication by Stonebridge Wire.

Please avoid sending extremely large unsolicited attachments where a suitable media library or download link is available.

Breaking news and statements

If your organisation is responding to a developing story, please put BREAKING, STATEMENT or another appropriate description in the email subject line.

We welcome official responses and will consider relevant statements for inclusion in developing coverage.

Where Stonebridge Wire has approached your organisation for comment, please include the relevant article or enquiry in your response wherever possible.

Story tips

You don’t need to work in PR to contact Stonebridge Wire.

If you know about a story you believe deserves attention, you can contact:

newsdesk@stonebridgewire.co.uk

Tell us what has happened, why you believe it matters and what evidence is available.

Please clearly indicate if information is sensitive or if you have concerns about being identified.

Do not send information that you are prohibited by law from disclosing.

Reviews and entertainment

Stonebridge Wire covers entertainment as part of its wider general-news remit.

For specialist theatre, music and live-entertainment coverage, you may also be familiar with our Founder & Editor’s separate publication, Sounds & Stage.

Stonebridge Wire and Sounds & Stage are separate editorial publications. Please send material to the publication most relevant to the story.

Where a story has significant general-news relevance, Stonebridge Wire may consider it independently for coverage.

Corrections and right of reply

If you believe Stonebridge Wire has published a factual error, or you are contacting us on behalf of somebody who is the subject of our reporting, please email:

newsdesk@stonebridgewire.co.uk

Use Correction Request or Right of Reply in the subject line where appropriate.

Please include the article headline and URL, identify the information concerned and provide supporting evidence where relevant.

Full information about our approach is available in our Corrections & Complaints policy.

Editorial complaints

Complaints relating to Stonebridge Wire’s journalism should be sent to:

newsdesk@stonebridgewire.co.uk

Please use the subject:

Our approach to accuracy, complaints, corrections, privacy, sourcing, conflicts of interest and other editorial matters is explained in our Editorial Code & Standards and Corrections & Complaints pages.

Commercial and advertising enquiries

For advertising, sponsorship, partnerships or other commercial proposals, please identify the enquiry as Commercial in your subject line when contacting us.

Editorial coverage cannot be purchased, and commercial relationships do not guarantee favourable or additional editorial coverage.

As Stonebridge Wire grows, a separate commercial contact may be introduced.
